PILCHARD FRIKKADEL


Ingredients
1 tin of Pilchards ( I'm using the hot chili) ...
1 small onion chopped finely
2 fresh garlic cloves chopped finely
1 egg
1 cup of dry bread crumbs ( very important or your Frikkadelle will fall apart .
3 slices of white bread quickly soaked in water , squeeze out water .
1 tablespoon of chopped parsley or coriander .

Some oil for shallow frying .
Method .
Remove the fish from the tin and separate the sauce from the fish - put the sauce one side .
Now mix all your ingredients together by hand . Allow to sit for 5 minutes .
Now shape the Frikkadelle as seen in picture . Shallow fry on medium to high heat till brown on both sides .
Remove and plate - drizzle over the sauce and serve .
